Park Theatre Company presents
Weird Fish
Directed by Amy Allen
Is this the archive? Jesus Christ, what’s in all these cupboards!
A reading room in a public archive. The archive houses many curiosities, including chemist’s records, a ballad sheet from 1565, and a healthy community of cockroaches.
The same researchers leaf through the same documents, under the watchful eyes of the archive’s staff.
Until one day – and much to the dismay of the archive’s staff - a researcher working on a ‘Secret Project’ requests access to the entire archive.
Weird Fish is written by Billie Esplen (Cowboys and Lesbians) and performed by Park Theatre’s latest cohort of their award-winning Park Theatre Company.
Park Theatre Company is a project which provides professional and non-professional actors alike with the opportunity to collaborate and challenge themselves, all within a friendly and warm creative environment. Performers work with a writer and director across 11 weeks to develop an original play, with each part specifically written for each participant.
