Chair of the Board

Park Theatre is seeking to appoint a Chair of the Board of Trustees from December 2021 to succeed Nigel Pantling. The Chair will work closely with the Board and Chief Executive Jez Bond to lead the organisation into the future. 

The Chair will share a passion for our artistic work and young people’s programmes and our commitment to being an equal, diverse, inclusive and environmentally sustainable organisation. The successful candidate will have strong influencing abilities and authority, excellent judgement and will be an outstanding advocate for the organisation. 

The Chair will benefit from working with our enthusiastic and talented Board and staff teams, and will play a key role in the development of Park Theatre’s vision for the future.

Marketing Intern 

Park Theatre’s Sales & Marketing department are recruiting a Marketing Intern via the Kickstart Scheme. This is available to those aged 16 - 24 who are claiming Universal Credit. 

If you’re interested to learn more about what happens behind the scenes in a working theatre and how the Sales & Marketing department works to sell tickets and build audiences, we'd welcome your application. This position would suit someone who is enthusiastic, passionate about theatre and interested to try a career in theatre marketing on for size.

Some skills you will learn are: creating and sending email newsletters, updating and amending the company website and social media channels, researching new audiences, keeping the front of house areas well stocked and tidy, assisting with schools marketing, learning to use design software & our box office system and attending weekly marketing and team meetings.

Internal training provided includes: box office system (Spektrix), email design (dotdigital), social media (Facebook, twitter, Instagram, Hootsuite), website content management (CMS), copywriting & proofing skills, entry level photoshop training. 

This would be great experience in a busy working theatre, all we ask is your enthusiasm and commitment to our values.

Trustee

Park Theatre are seeking to recruit a new Trustee to provide a link with the local community. Ideally the successful candidate will be a long time local resident and have connections with our diverse local communities and their grassroots groups. We are looking for people who are passionate about Park Theatre’s vision and want to support us as we head into our next phase.
