Biographies

Margery | Angela Curran

Angela has worked extensively in film, television, theatre and radio. She recently appeared in The Job Lot for ITV playing Janette. Forthcoming TV appearances include Houdini and Doyle and Rovers for Sky TV.

Other television credits include : Edge of Heaven, Mr Sloane, The Bletchley Circle, This is Jinsy, Doc Martin, Casualty, Holby City, Eric and Ernie, Emmerdale, Pickles, Foyle’s War, Heartbeat, Poirot, Tipping the Velvet, Dinner Ladies, Peak Practice, Vanity Fair, Pat & Margaret and The Kiss of Death.

Film Credits include: Calendar Girls, The Iron Lady, Death at a Funeral, Mike Bassett England Manager, Nicholas Nickleby, The Danish Girl and several Mike Leigh films, including Vera Drake, Naked, Topsy-Turvy, Secrets and Lies, and Mr Turner.

She has worked in many theatres including: Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, Leeds Playhouse, Arts Theatre Cambridge, Theatre Royal Drury Lane. She has written a one woman show, Happy Talk, which she has performed at several venues including the Hampstead Theatre and Regent’s Park Theatre.



Nell Gwyn | Elizabeth Mansfield 

Elizabeth has been working in theatre, radio, TV and film since the 1970’s. She trained at the Elmhurst Ballet School, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and later in opera at the City of Leeds College of Music.

She has performed many leading roles in UK regional theatres and London’s West End, in plays, music theatre and musicals, winning an Olivier Award nomination for ‘Best Actress in a Musical’ and ‘Best Actress’ in the London Theatre Awards, for her performance in Marie, at the Fortune Theatre. She has worked extensively in radio, and was nominated ‘Best Actress’ in the Sony Radio Awards, while a member of the BBC Radio Drama Company.

She has worked in television and film, appearing in popular TV series such as Coronation Street and The Bill.

From 2001, when she founded Ensemble with Steve Trafford, she has devoted her time to producing, performing and writing for the company. Elizabeth is a frequent visiting professor at the Music School, University of Colorado (Boulder), USA.
