Sally Llewellyn's love of drama started with school Shakespeare, followed by a degree in English Literature at Sussex University. She developed her playwrighting skills at Player-Playwrights;  Chelsea Theatre's writing course, Rome Wasn't Built in a Day;  and with Hackney stage writers group Alive and Kicking.  Her full-length play Edward’s Presents was produced in 2004 at the Union Theatre in Southwark.  While writing The Barrier, Sally also ventured into performance:  she developed and played the character Angie in Arcola Theatre's Faces in the Window (Arcola 2010),  and  wrote and played the character Bet, a Victorian prostitute, in the Dickens-inspired The Uncommercial Traveller  (Arcola and Punchdrunk collaboration, 2011).

Kirrie Wratten trained as a director with Mike Alfreds, Elen Bowman, Katie Mitchell, Tatiana Olear and Ian Rickson (Living Pictures Productions).  She directed Sally’s play, Edward’s Presents, for Earwig Arts at the Union Theatre, Southwark in 2004. Kirrie has directed new plays for the Edinburgh and Henley Fringe Festivals, and in many London fringe venues.  She has directed three plays by Judy Upton, including a new play, Gaby Goes Global, as part of the Fresh Ideas Season at the New Wimbledon Studio in 2009.  Recent directing credits include Absurd Person Singular by Alan Ayckbourn, Arcadia by Tom Stoppard and an open air Merry Wives in the summer 2013Site specific theatre credits include Romeo and Juliet, The Crucible and Twelfth Night. Kirrie won the Best Director Award at the Lion and Unicorn’s Solo Festival in 2008.

 

Anna Hourriere trained in Theatre Design at Wimbledon School of Art. She was a finalist winner of the Linbury Prize  and a winner of the Royal Opera House Bursary (2009). Her recent Set and Costume designs include: Salome, Werther's Sorrow (Zoo Venue Edinburgh); The Shadow Formula (Greenwood Theatre London); Yes (Royal Opera House Linbury Studio); Personal Enemy ( White Bear Theatre) ( 59E59 New York); Friendly Fires (The Place Theatre); Two Steps from the Sky ( Rosemary Branch Theatre); Landscape Number 3 ( The Place Theatre).

Claire Child's theatrical lighting design credits include 'Killing Roger' at the Little Angel Theatre and on tour around the UK, 'Venus/Mars' at the Old Red Lion Theatre, 'Blavatsky's Tower' at Barons Court Theatre, 'The Girl With No Heart' at Bedlam Theatre and on tour around the UK, 'Magnyfycence' at Hampton Court Palace,  'Just So Stories' at the LOST Theatre, 'Spare' at the New Diorama Theatre and 'Blue Fence' at Pleasance Theatre. She was the lighting designer for the dance production 'NowHere' at various UK theatres, and for 'Blood, Guts & Gore' at Fairfield Halls.

Rachel Condon graduated from The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) where she studied Stage Management and Technical Theatre. Rachel has just finished Blood Wedding  at Waterloo East Theatre.  Rachel’s previous credits include Stage Manger for Venus/Mars at The Old Red Lion. The School for Scandal at Waterloo East Theatre, School for Wives at the White Bear Theatre, Overruled and  Happy Birthday Wanda June at the Old Red Lion Theatre. Stage Manager for Yolk and Matchmaker at  RADA Studios, Stage Manager for A Tale of Two Cities at Charring Cross. Stage Manager for the 50th year anniversary production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at Lost Theatre. Stage Manager for Sleeping with Straight Men and Sleeping Beauty at Above The Stag Theatre. She has also worked as Company Stage Manager for Stand Tall, Production Manager for Ragtime and Stage Manager for The Hired Man at the Landor Theatre. Rachel has also worked at the Steiner Theatre as Technical Stage Manager and Lighting Designer.

Jo Walker recently graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama from the “BA Hons Theatre Practice: Theatre Sound” Course. He is a multi-instrumentalist and specialises in devised work. His recent works include: "The Kindness of Strangers" performed at the "Norfolk and Norwich Festival", "The Engineer's Thumb" by Dotted Line Theatre performed at "Little Angel Theatre", "After the Rainfall" by curious directive performed at the "Edinburgh Fringe Festival" and on tour, "Goodnight Mrs Calabash" by Ovation performed at "Upstairs at the Gatehouse", “In The Image Of You” by curious directive performed at "West Yorkshire Playhouse", “Your Last Breath” by curious directive performed at “Edinburgh Fringe Festival” and on tour, “As I Lay Dying” by Central School of Speech and Drama’s Collaborative and Devised Theatre Strand (Graduates 2012) performed at “Webber Douglas Studio”, “Mysterious Skin” by Em-Lou Productions performed at “The Drill Hall” and “Zazous! Zazous!” by Off The Rock! Productions performed at “Aquila Road - Jersey”. He was also the sound technician and assistant sound designer on the recent tour of The Paper Cinema's "Odyssey".
