His earlier ones were: Made in England (Soho Poly/Parallax), My Native Land (Scooting Owl/Lyric Hammersmith), Moving Susan (Haymarket, Basingstoke/Greenwich) and The External (Theatre Royal, Bath/National Tour). Russell Bender - Director
Russell trained at Ecole Jacques Lecoq and on the 2010 Lincoln Center Theater Directors’ Lab. He was a runner up of the 2009 JMK award for young directors. His work as a director includes: The Shroud by Siddartha Bose (Rich Mix/Norfolk and Norwich Festival), The Rite of Spring/Romeo and Juliet (UK tour), Game of Life by Rose Lewenstein (The Yard), The Infernal Machine by Jean Cocteau (for East 15 at the Cockpit Theatre), Kalagora by Siddartha Bose (Edinburgh Fringe 2011 and UK studio tour), Emo by Tom Wainwright (ATC/Bristol Old Vic, Young Vic), Entries on Love by Rose Lewenstein (Rich Mix Snapshots Festival). In addition he has had work in development at Battersea Arts Centre, Cambridge Junction and the National Theatre Studio. He is Creative Associate at Penned in the Margins. In 2011 he was a staff director at the National Theatre. He has assisted directors including Simon McBurney, Bijan Sheibani and Tom Morris.
Shenagh Govan - Founder of Script Readers/Actor
As Founder of The Script Readers, Shenagh is thrilled to be supporting this rehearsed reading in the next stage of development of ‘Love In A Bubble’ from its original workshop in 2013. Shenagh trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School & has worked extensively in theatre, TV, film & radio. Recent work includes ‘Whose Afraid of Virginia Woolf’ by Edward Albee & also ‘Frozen’ by Bryony Lavery at The National Theatre Studio for Fingersmiths Theatre Company. Readings of ‘The Star In The Cross’ at The Bush & ‘Truckstop’ at The Gate & own 1 woman show ‘War Crimes for the Home’ currently in production.
TV film credits include Aunt Gritty in “The Mill on the Floss” with Emily Watson & Bernard Hughes , Sally Masey in Peter Kosminsky’s “Innocents” with Tim Pigott Smith, Bookish Woman in “Stuart A Life Backwards” with Benedict Cumberbatch & Tom Hardy and “Summer in The Suburbs” & “The Vascillations of Poppy Carew”. Shenagh’s TV extensive credits include 8 years as Joy, S.O.C.O in The Bill, & episodes of “Murder in Mind”, Sea of Souls, “Holby City”, “Doctors”, “Casualty”, “Midsomer Murders”, “Without Motive”, “Eastenders”, “Taking Liberties, “Dear Dilemma” & “Inside Victor Lewis Smith”
