As a writer, Simon has had a number of BBC Radio commissions, such as `The Way It Is’ and ‘Future Perfect’. His first play, ‘Initial Conditions’, premiered at the King’s Head in 2007. As a director Simon has worked as Associate Director on Yukio Ninagawa’s most recent ‘Hamlet’ and has developed and directed many new plays including ‘Broken Voices’, ‘Scotch and Water’, ‘Ponies’ and ‘Late Fragment’. David Banks | Director

Actor, author and playwright David Banks has directed productions in London and on tour and was Associate Director for the London New Play Festival. Performing work includes numerous leading roles for national and regional theatre companies and in the London West End. He has had an equally prolific career as a TV actor with, among many other appearances, long-running portrayals in Doctor Who, Brookside and Canary Wharf. His books include Doctor Who – Cybermen (WH Allen) and the best-selling novel Iceberg (Virgin). His play Severance tells the story of the medieval lovers Heloise and Abelard. Five Mary’s Waiting charts the very personal beginnings of the Christian saga: a deadly serious drama for five strong women with some scraps of wisdom and room at the inn for jokes.
