Toby Hampton

Toby is an award-nominated director, writer & producer and the former Deputy Artistic Director at The Hope Theatre, Islington.

Matt Ballantyne

Matt is a writer, musical director and pianist. His recent writing work includes the Offcom nominated monologue 21 Round for Christmas and his subsequent Offie nominated writing debut at The Hope Theatre in 2021with a show by the same name.  He spent 4 years as a musical director for Chickenshed Theatre’s Tales From the Shed and was the assistant musical director on their Offie award-winning production of Snow White in 2019. Throughout his career Matthew has had the opportunity to work with and perform at variety of venues including The Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, the Hard Rock Café, The Savoy Theatre and British Summer Time Hyde Park. Matt also enjoys teaching and spends time introducing drama and music to budding young artists or working with inclusive theatre groups.

 

Tanya Truman 

Tanya is both a performer and a creative producer and is supported by Stage One for her independent productions. 

Independent productions for Tanya Truman Productions include triple OFFIE nominated Pickle (Soho Theatre, Park Theatre + UK Tour), These Demons (Theatre503) & Becoming Nigella (In Development - BEAM2023, Oxford Playhouse).

Additional productions include: The Arc: A Trilogy of New Jewish Plays (Soho Theatre, Co-Production with Emanate Productions), Fury and Elysium (The Other Palace Studio), Stills (JW3), Little Sausage (The Other Palace Studio). 

She also curated and produced Female Jewish Voices for JW3 in May 2023, a celebration of contemporary rising female Jewish writers.

 

Laurel Marks

Laurel is an Associate Artist of The Jack Studio Theatre, Company Member of Arrows & Traps Theatre Company and Technical Manager of The Hope Theatre.

Ella McCormack

Ella is thrilled to be assistant directing Toby Hampton in this fun and festive production of 21 Round For Christmas at the Park90 alongside an equally fun and festive creative team! Ella trained as an actor and theatre-maker at Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company, graduating in 2022 and recently performed in a one-woman show herself, The Morphea, as part of Bloomsbury festival. Ella definitely sees Tracy in the women from her own family and is excited to bring to life this phenomenal, nuanced character that audiences will adore and recognise from their own Christmas dinner table.

 

Alex Forey

Alex (he/him) is a London-based lighting designer for theatre and live performance, with experience in drama, musicals, opera, and contemporary dance. He was nominated for an OFFIE in 2023, and awarded the 2021 Vectorworks Design Entertainment Scholarship and two UCL design awards. 

His work as lighting designer includes: The Island (Cervantes Theatre), Battersea Bardot (New Wimbledon), Hildegard von Bingen, Good Day, imaginary natural beings (VAULT Festival), Polyeucte (Theatre Royal Stratford East), Libuše, Rhapsody, From Here To Eternity (Bloomsbury Theatre), Lovefool (Coronet Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe, & International Tour), Ghislaine/Gabler (Coronet Theatre & Edinburgh Fringe), Babel (Lyric Hammersmith), Kitty in the Lane, Paddy Goes To Petra (Brockley Jack), Face Down in the Dirt (King’s Head Theatre), Our Father (Baron’s Court Theatre), Into The Woods (Shaw Theatre), Message in a Clay River, Daisy Pulls It Off (Cockpit Theatre), Songs for a New World (Drayton Arms), The Piper of Hamelin (Rose Kingston), Grey Matter, Twelfth Night (Edinburgh Fringe).

Emily Rose Simons

Emily Rose Simons (she/her) is a musical theatre writer, composer and sound designer. Composer-Lyricist credits include: Confessions of A Rabbi’s Daughter (The Other Palace, September 2022) & The Inconvenient Miracle (Episcopal Actors Guild Space Grant Recipient). Composer credits include: Seven Fishes (Anatolian Film Festival), The F*ck Am I Doing? (NYMF, Brighton Fringe) and Wendell & Pan (The Tank NYC).

Sound Design credits include: Pickle (Park Theatre), Super Human (New Diorama Theatre) and 39 & Counting (Park Theatre). The Songs of Emily Rose Podcast is her monthly “three songs and a bit spiel” available on Spotify and other podcast outlets, and her sheet music is available on www.NewUKMusicals.co.uk.

She is an alum of the Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program at NYU, Book, Music, Lyrics workshops and the Advance Mercury Musical Developments Lab; and a finalist in the 2021 Styles and Drew Best New Song Competition. www.songsofemilyrose.com
