Fresh from a ★★★★★ sold out run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025, comedian Leigh Douglas’ ‘whip-smart political satire’ makes its London debut at the Park Theatre in 2026.

Scream if you love freedom!

Chastity Quirke is White House receptionist, ex-Chapter President of Kappa Gamma Zeta, and a zealous Republican. Every single day she is proud to Make America Hot Again, all while serving her close personal friend the President of the United States.

Don’t be fooled by her pageant smile; Chastity is a keen political operator determined to prove her loyalty by any means necessary, and she’s not going to let the icky Democrats, her ex-boyfriend, or the evils of socialism stand in her way.

But when her political idol – White House Press Secretary Candace Monroe – becomes embroiled in the scandal of the century, Chastity has a come-to-Jesus moment she never anticipated.

As this all-American girl next door is forced to choose between the power of female friendship and proving herself the ultimate guys’ girl, she’s horrified to discover she might actually be a feminist.

Thu 22 Jan: Post show conversation with Leigh Douglas and Fiona Kingwill hosted by Grace Campbell

PICK ME PATRIOTISM

Join us after ROTUS: Receptionist of the United States for a special conversation with writer/performer Leigh Douglas and director Fiona Kingwill, hosted by comedian Grace Campbell.

Whether Washington or Westminster, from Karoline Leavitt to Kemi Badenoch, explore the phenomenon of “pick me” patriotism, and why conservative women keep propping up patriarchal power.

This event will start at 8pm on Thu 22 Jan immediately following the performance of ROTUS: Receptionist of the United States, and is free to attend for same-night ticket-holders.

Grace Campbell is a comedian, writer, director, and podcaster from London. Grace’s sharp wit, uncompromising honesty, and provocative tone has established her as one of the most interesting comics of her generation, and an accidental voice for gen-z women.
