Ireland. 1979. The Sisters of Heavenly Mercy, Divine Grace, Chastity, Charity and Chastity know one thing for sure… They’re not supposed to have a “particular friend”. They’re not supposed to spend too much time with any one sister. They’re not supposed to fall in love with any one sister. They’re certainly not supposed to fingerblast any one sister in the confession box until they get repetitive strain injury. And yet for a convent with chastity in the name (twice), these sisters spend all the live long day rubbing the relic, giving each other the wetties, massaging the Sunday ham. Until the bishop comes to visit and everything changes…

Particular Friend is the first ever one woman show written and performed by acclaimed TV writer & actor, Brona C Titley (Acting credits: Say Nothing, Motherland, Buffering. Writing credits: Spitting Image, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Shaun the Sheep).
