Sharon Wanjohi and Marty Gleeson: Work in Progress
Sharon Wanjohi
Sharon Wanjohi is a queer British Kenyan comedian, who’s been making waves on the circuit with her take on the lack of Gen-z homeowners and maybe too much material on the cartoons that inspired a generation of sexual awakenings.
She has written on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Late Night Lycett and The Jonathan Ross Show.
Marty Gleeson
Crowned LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year 2024, Marty Gleeson is fast becoming a well known name in the UK comedy scene. From BBC New Comedy Awards Finals, to Channel 4’s Sean Lock Awards, Marty is taking her offbeat, and whimsical performance style to a town near you.
Selected for the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve 2024, Gleeson has racked up over 30 million views online, and acted as tour support for Vittorio Angelone. Gleeson is a comic making big juicy turbulent waves, so run for cover. No one is safe.
‘Marty Gleeson has the sort of strange and unusual comedy brain that makes you excited for what comes next.’ – Rolling Stone
‘Joyous. Made my synapsis sing with delight.’ – Zoe Lyons
‘Surreal, honest, fucking excellent.’ – Jen Brister
