Feel supported, relaxed, and uplifted in our free weekly drama-based session for those living with dementia and their carers.

In these fun and playful sessions, you can expect to do a combination of art, tai chi, music, movement and playful non-pressurised improvisational theatre. Our motto is ‘Go with the flow’ and we focus on gentle, creative expression.

Each session is followed by shared refreshments of tea, coffee, biscuits and sandwiches.

“Brenda and I have been attending the reminiscence group at Park Theatre for over 5 years. On the very first day we were made very welcome. We enjoyed the various activities then and we have done ever since. Our group facilitator and the several volunteers are all very friendly and helpful and all the participants enjoy their time together.”

“I think it’s a lovely and friendly atmosphere, I always feel welcomed here as a volunteer. It keeps me mentally and physically active and I just enjoy the experience. It takes me out of my comfort zone because I’ve never been an actor or done acting apart from at primary school, but I just enjoy doing the activities and Amy is a marvelous person to be with. I always enjoy the sessions and I don’t worry about coming, I’m learning all the time and I just find it all a wonderful experience.”
