For every role or opportunity we advertise, we’ll have a recruitment pack which you’ll be able to download from this web page. This will give you a bit more information about Park Theatre, the role and the terms on which we’re offering the job (salary, hours etc). If you have questions that aren’t answered by the information in the recruitment pack, you’re welcome to email us at jobs@parktheatre.co.uk and we’ll reply within 48 hours.

In each recruitment pack there’s a section labelled ‘person specification’, which is a list of the skills and kinds of experience we’re looking for in a successful candidate. We score each application out of three against each point on this list. To give yourself the best chance of being shortlisted, make sure you give examples of when you’ve demonstrated the skills and experience that we’re looking for.

We ask you to supply some information about yourself when you apply for a job with us for these reasons:

• Our ambition for Park Theatre is to be a diverse and inclusive working environment, and for the team to be reflective of the area in which we work and more widely, of London. We’re making positive steps in this direction, but there is always room for improvement
• We are a Disability Confident employer and apply positive action; all disabled candidates who demonstrate that they meet the person specification will be invited for an interview and we are committed to meeting access requirements through the recruitment process
• After each recruitment process, we anonymise the demographic data provided by applicants and analyse it to better understand who we are reaching (and not reaching) and how we can make our processes stronger

We will only contact your references once a job offer has been made, and only with your permission.

We’ll keep your application on file for six months, after which we’ll destroy it in line with our privacy policy.

We will make contact with all shortlisted candidates as quickly as we can, to give as much time as possible to prepare for an interview. We will also contact candidates who have not been shortlisted for interview, to let them know. Either way you will hear from us.

This depends on the job you have applied for, but it will always be at least two people, one of whom will be the line manager for the role in question.

For most roles, we’ll ask a mix of questions to get to know you, about your previous experiences and give you a scenario to talk through. For some roles we also ask that you complete a task, either a presentation or on a computer (equipment will be provided on the day).

We want everyone to be as comfortable and confident as possible for interviews and will endeavour to share at least some of the questions in advance so that candidates can prepare their answers. If we are expecting you to make a presentation, we will always give you the details in advance.

Absolutely. At any stage in the recruitment process, please say what you need and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

We will usually call the successful candidate to make an offer, which is always subject to receipt of acceptable references, and then follow up on email with the terms of the offer. Once you’ve said we can, we’ll approach your referees.

We often receive large numbers of applications for jobs, and can only offer feedback to applicants that have been shortlisted for interview.
