Papatango Theatre Company and Park Theatre present the winner of the 2026 Papatango New Writing Prize. What play? We’re not telling you.

In fact, we can’t.

This year’s winning play is still a secret. But we do know this: it’s been chosen from a record 1,913 entries and is sure to be another knockout.

Here’s something else we know: Papatango has a remarkable track record of discovering brilliant new writers — who have won Olivier, Critics’ Circle and OffWestEnd awards and premiered in 33 countries – so we’re asking you to trust us.

This production follows Park Theatre and Papatango’s first collaboration in 2025, the critically acclaimed world premiere of The Meat Kings! (Inc.) of Brooklyn Heights, which subsequently won the 2026 Susan Smith Blackburn Award.

So, fancy a gamble?
