From his early days at the National Youth Theatre through to becoming one of the most recognisable faces on British film and television, Hugh takes a look back at his career. With roles including Uncle Vanya on stage, Downton’s Earl of Grantham on television and Mr Brown in the Paddington films, Hugh is a highly versatile actor who can even add ’serial killer’ to his impressive CV. A busy man who is about to release his first children’s book, ‘Rory Sparkes and the Elephant in the Room’, he’s kindly giving us his time with all monies raised from the event going to support our work in keeping theatre affordable and accessible for all.

Grab your chance to get up close and personal with one of the nation’s much-loved treasures. And if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like being in a Bond movie, doing a voice-over for the Simpsons, or stacking shelves in Daunt’s bookshop… there’ll be plenty of opportunity to ask questions on the night.
