Giuliano is a passionate multimedia theatre journalist and producer with over a decade of experience spanning media, theatre, and dance. As the founder of People of Theatre, a thriving social media platform he has developed over the past six years, Giuliano has highlighted more than 300 productions. His work delivers thoughtful, in-depth content that aligns with his values of compassion, inclusion, and understanding. With an average reach of 100,000 people monthly on Instagram, Giuliano has become a trusted guide for both seasoned theatregoers and new audiences exploring the world of theatre.

A committed advocate for underrepresented voices, Giuliano shines a spotlight on productions and artists addressing critical societal issues and amplifying marginalized identities. His work strives to demonstrate how theatre and dance can illuminate perspectives, build empathy, and strengthen the bonds within communities.

Academically, Giuliano holds a BA in East Asia Studies and an MA in Chinese Studies from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. He specialized in exploring “The influence of Western cultural biases on the study of Chinese culture” for his final thesis. His academic journey included a scholarship at the University of Beijing and a year at Humboldt University of Berlin, where he deepened his knowledge of Mandarin and Chinese literature.

Giuliano later earned an MA in International Journalism from City University London, supported by a prestigious EU scholarship. His final project focused on the experiences of queer refugees and the emotional toll of proving their identities.

Professionally, Giuliano worked as a producer for BBC World Service and BBC Radio 2 and spent seven years in Beijing as a freelance journalist for international media outlets and a TV Director for China’s national broadcaster. At the NCPA (Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts), he worked as an international producer, facilitating performances by world-renowned companies including Shakespeare’s Globe, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Martha Graham Dance Company, Stuttgart Ballet and many more. Giuliano has also collaborated with the Holland Dance Festival and worked as a producer for The PappyShow, one of the UK’s most dynamic and diverse physical theatre companies.

Giuliano’s contributions to the UK dance scene include three years as an Olivier Awards Dance Panelist, during which he championed groundbreaking and innovative artists. Through People of Theatre and his broader professional efforts, Giuliano continues to broaden access to theatre and dance, inspired by his unwavering belief in the power of the performing arts to connect people, challenge perceptions, and inspire meaningful change.
