Information for ticket holders: COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Closure updates

Due to the temporary closure of Park Theatre due to the impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), all productions in our Jan – Jul 2020 season have unfortunately been cancelled. If you had tickets to a production you will have been contacted by a member of our box office team to arrange a donation, credit note or refund. We endeavoured to contact all customers, however if we were unable to reach you then you will have been issued a credit note to the equivalent value of your original booking. Credit notes will be valid for one year from Park Theatre’s reopening. If you have any queries about cancelled bookings, please email [email protected]

Thank you to all customers who were able to donate part, or all, of their tickets to Park Theatre to help us stay afloat during these tough times. For all those who kindly donated, we have added a complementary one year Key Keeper membership to your account, the benefits of which include priority booking.

As a small charity, that receives no public funds, a full refund of lost performances could be financially catastrophic for us, so we are asking patrons to please consider donating the cost of the ticket rather than requesting a credit note or refund. For those who kindly donate we would like to offer a complimentary one year membership to our Friends Scheme, as a "Key Keeper", where benefits include Priority Booking.

Please be aware that staffing capacity has been significantly reduced as a result of the pandemic and therefore we will be slower to respond to emails than usual. If you need to speak to somebody urgently about a ticketing enquiry, please email: [email protected]

Thank you for your patience and understanding in these unprecedented circumstances.

If you are a Park Keeper and your membership is set to automatically renew (for example on Direct Debit), this will continue as normal. Thank you to all of our Park Keepers and donors – your contributions matter more than ever at this especially difficult time.

I have credit note or gift voucher on my Park Theatre account – will I still be able to use it when you re-open?

Gift vouchers and credit notes are valid for one year from the point of activation. When we re-open, if you are worried about your credit note or gift card expiring, please contact the box office and we will be happy to extend the end date to make up for lost time.

The show I want to see is sold out, can I get a ticket?

We strongly advise customers to book tickets to shows they want to see in advance as it is not always possible for us to release extra seats. An increasing number of bookers are booking well in advance to ensure they don't miss the show! Why not consider becoming a Park Keeper, where one of the many benefits includes priority booking when the new season is announced. Please note we do not offer refunds, it may be possible to exchange tickets (subject to availability) with at least 24 hours notice prior to the performance and incur a £2 admin fee per ticket.

When a show is sold out there are several options:

Advance waiting list

  • Ask to be added to the advance waiting list. Please note that the advance waiting list spaces are limited and you may not be able to be added to the advance waiting list if it is full.
  • There are no guarantees on tickets becoming available.
  • If you are added to the advance waiting list, box office will notify you by phone or email if a ticket becomes available for your chosen performance. Please make sure your customer account information is up to date so we can contact you.

Daily returns list from 5.30pm on the day

  • If the advance waiting list is full, your other option is to arrive at the venue at 5.30pm on the day of the performance and ask to be added to the daily returns list.
  • The daily returns list is a paper list kept at box office of customers currently in the building waiting to see if there are any returns for that afternoon or evening performance only.
  • Once you have added your name to the daily returns list, you may wait in our friendly cafe bar until a member of staff contacts you, if a ticket is returned.
  • There are no guarantees of returns being available on the day.

Ticket Collection

We have moved to e-ticketing, so all tickets will be emailed to you in advance of the event. If you have not received your e-tickets, please check your junk email folder and add Park Theatre to your safe senders list. Your e-ticket will have a QR code, please proceed straight to the auditorium door for scanning. There is no need to queue at box office. Paper tickets are no longer available (except for those with access needs).

We would like to advise customers not to bring large or bulky items to the theatre as we do not have cloakroom facilities.

Refunds, Exchanges and Returns

We do not offer any refunds. Exchanges may be available at least 24 hours prior to the performance and would incur a £2.00 administration fee per ticket. Please also be aware that the 10% telephone booking fee also applies to exchanges. During the coronavirus pandemic, a relaxation of these rules applies. Please refer to the Covid-19 section above.

Latecomers

Please note that on many performances for reasons of audience enjoyment and health and safety we cannot admit latecomers. Please always aim to arrive 30 minutes prior to curtain up and enjoy our Café Bar. We are unable to offer exchanges or refunds on tickets for latecomers. Please be advised that arrival times during Coronavirus may be staggered and subject to change.

Ticket Touting

Ticket touting is not permitted and tickets bought via unauthorised agents will be voided. We strongly advise customers to only purchase tickets via authorised channels.
