Biographies

Julia Pascal | Writer/Director

 Pascal worked as an actor before starting her directing career at the National Theatre where she was the first woman to direct there. This was with her adaptation of Dorothy Parker’s works Men Seldom Make Passes. Pascal has directed new works by a variety of new writers and has been supported by The British Council. Her own plays have been performed nationally and internationally. They include The Holocaust Trilogy, Woman In The Moon, St Joan and Old Newland for Walking The Tightrope season produced by Theatre  Delicatessen. Theatre For BBC Radio 4 she has writtenThe Road To Paradise and Revelations in the series From Fact To  Fiction. Among several awards she was given the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts Dream Time Fellowship. Writers’ residencies have been at The University of York, Kingston University and the Wiener Library. All her plays are published by Oberon Books.

 

Susannah Kraft Levene | Executive Producer

Susannah has worked extensively as Producer and in General Management for many new writing theatre companies, run venues and toured companies both in the UK and internationally.

Ben Cowens | Lighting Designer

Zoe Blackford | Sound Designer 

Zoe's design credits include: South African Season, Jermyn Street Theatre; St Joan, The Courtyard Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe; The Secret Listeners, Trent Park; After Miss Julie, London Classic Theatre. 

 

Chloe Turner | Stage Manger 

Work includes: productions at the Old Vic, Barbican and BBC. Chloe also works in events and recently worked for YouTube at their London Brandcast Event. This is her first time working with Pascal Theatre Company.
