Clive Brill - Brill Productions 

 

Clive Brill recently directed “Black Chiffon” at Park Theatre for which Abigail Cruttenden was nominated best actress in The Offies. He is Producer and Artistic Director at Frinton Summer Theatre which has just celebrated eighty years as the UK’s oldest summer rep.  He is an award winning Radio Drama Producer and works regularly for BBC Radio with productions that have included G F Newman’s “The Corrupted” starring Toby Jones; “Believe It”, starring Richard Wilson, David Tennant and Sir Ian McKellen and written by Jon Canter; “No. 10” by Jonathan Myerson, starring Sir Antony Sher and Damian Lewis and “Small Town Murder” by Scott Cherry, starring Meera Syal.

He also produces many hours of book readings the most recent being “No Longer at Ease” by Chinua Achebe and “In The Castle of My Skin” by George Lamming - both read by Paterson Joseph.  He has won the US Audies Award for best production for recording all of Shakespeare’s plays for “Arkangel Complete Shakespeare” and won a BAFTA for G F Newman’s “The Healer”.  He voice directed “The Magic Roundabout - the Movie”.  In Spring 2021 he will produce “Playing Jane” starring Amanda Root at the Bath Festival and beyond.
