Young Company 12-14 Autumn 2023

19 September 2023 - 28 November 2023

What is it?

Our weekly performance classes provide young participants with the opportunity to explore performing arts and cultivate teamwork, play and confidence-building through creative exploration.

The course takes place in Park Theatre, providing participants with opportunities to hear from industry professionals, learn more about creative industries and explore the world of theatre.

This term the group will devise and perform a Twisted Fairy Tale. Working with Toby and Kieran, sessions will take a traditional fairy tale and modernise it. Think Cinderella if Cinderella were an aspiring footballer, Prince Charming plays for the local club, The Evil Stepmother is Chair of the football club and 'The Ball' is an open training session!

Through games, workshops and devising exercises, the group will come up with their own twisted fairy tale to be performed in Park Theatre's Morris Space at the end of term.
