The Script Readers in association with Park Theatre present

Love In A Bubble

by Rodney Clark

It’s the mid-1980s. and  Japan is booming. A young Englishwoman begins an affair with an older Japanese businessman. Partly to protect herself, she encourages the attentions of  an Englishman of her own age. Japan’s bubble is the biggest since the Dutch tulips. Normal rules no longer apply. Boom turns to bust, and the eternal triangle doesn’t quite last an eternity. ...

The Script Readers are proud to be producing this rehearsed reading in the next stage of development of Love In A Bubble by Rodney Clark from its original workshop in 2012, building on the very successful rehearsed readings of Freddie, Ted & The Death of Joe Orton by Don Cotter on 25th Feb 2014 and No Reasonable Offer Refused by Norma Cohen at Park Theatre on 14th Oct 2013.

This marks the third play in an exciting association between The Script Readers and Park Theatre. Founded in 2008 by actor Shenagh Govan and based at Theatre Royal, Stratford East, The Script Readers (www.thescriptreaders.co.uk) encourages the development of new writing through monthly readings & feedback sessions for the writer.
